DPP: Digital Product Passport
Digital Product Passport under the ESPR (EU) 2024/1781
Digital Product Passports will make key product information accessible through a digital data carrier. The ESPR provides the framework, while product-specific delegated acts determine detailed requirements and timing. Most passports will follow the ESPR, while batteries, toys and construction products get their passport through their own EU regulations. VERAEN's DPP module is coming soon, with preparation focused on structured supplier and product data.
Who it applies to
Businesses placing products on the EU market that become subject to Digital Product Passport requirements, under the ESPR or under product-specific EU rules such as those for batteries, toys and construction products. Textiles, furniture and other priority groups will need to follow the relevant rules as they are adopted.
